More Information
Rotary Australia World Community Service (ACN 003 444 264) was incorporated in 1987 as a public company limited by guarantee, bound by its own constitution and Articles of Association, authorized by Rotary International as a multi-district function.

The company coordinates the activities of Project Volunteers, Project Funding, Donations in Kind (DIK) and Rotarians Against Malaria (RAM). Programs of the Activities are FAIM Australia, International Projects Advisory Committee (IPAC), Save Water Save Lives (SWSL).

The Australian District Governors of the day are the Council (shareholders) of the Company. It elects a Board which is responsible for the operations of the Company through an elected Executive Officer and chairmen of each Activity Committee.

Australia is divided into five regions for ease of administration (Northern, Eastern, Southern, Central and Western). Each Region is administered by an elected chairman and committee proposed each year by the various District Governor Nominees. Each Region reports to the Board on a regular basis.

Yearly surveys in areas of need are undertaken. Contact with overseas Rotary Clubs and aid agencies are made to assist in authorizing and monitoring the activities to ensure viability. Volunteer activities or Funding Activity Application forms are completed and offered to Regions for distribution to Rotary Districts and/or Rotary Clubs.

Rotarians, Rotary Clubs and Rotary Districts can consult with the various National, Regional, or District RAWCS Activity Committees to be advised on procedures and guidelines. Cheaper air fares, insurance premiums and qualified expense tax deductibility are available. Advice and assistance is available to complete The Rotary Foundation Grant applications and requests for AusAID subsidies.

RAWCS Ltd has objects similar to Rotary New Zealand World Community service and encourages coordination on projects conducted in common areas of need.
